Mahindra Truck and Bus Division is a division of the Automotive and Farm sector of the US $19 billion Mahindra Group that provides an entire line of integrated trucking solutions.

The company has taken outperformance to the next level, by creating trucks that are specifically designed for different applications and deliver outperformance whatever be the business needs. The HCV product range has been engineered for Indian requirements with the underlying philosophy of; Made in India, Made for India'. In HCV segment, Mahindra Truck and Bus Division already has reached more than 24,000 trucks on road. The company is in process of addressing every segment of the commercial vehicle market; form 3.5 tonne GVW to 49 tonne GVW, with variants that meet the varying needs of passenger transport, cargo and specialized load applications. The new range of medium and heavy commercial vehicle is being manufactured at the new green field plant at Chakan. The plant, which spans over 700 acres, has been set up with an investment of over Rs. 4,000 Crore and is producing other Mahindra products as well. This helps the Mahindra group to leverage the benefits of synergies of an integrated manufacturing facility. The company offers 5 Years or 5 Lac Km transferable Warranty, which is an industry first and a cost effective AMC.

In the LCV segment, Mahindra Truck and Bus Division has a market share of 8.9%. It is all set to further strengthen its position all across India with over 1,50,000 vehicles already on the roads. The entire range of LCV Load vehicles and & Buses are manufactured in the Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. facility at Zaheerabad.

Mahindra Truck and Bus has rapidly expanded its after sales service and spares network which now includes 80 nos. 3S dealerships, 120 Authorized Service centers and 2900 roadside assistance points; and spares network of 2069 retail outlets to further improve the reach of support for customers on important trucking routes. The company also has India’s first multi-lingual helpline, NOW, which is manned by technical experts to provide instant support to customers. The NOW mobile service vans and mobile workshops further add to the reach and agility of the support network.

Mahindra's Truck and Bus Division bagged the 'HCV Rigid Cargo Carrier of the Year for its TRUXO 37. With this win, we have won five times in a row at the reputed Apollo CV Awards. This is a mark of the excellent performance that our trucks deliver time and again. For the fourth consecutive time, Mahindra’s Truck and Bus Division won at the prestigious Apollo Awards. And the truck behind this victory was Mahindra’s TORRO 25; that won the ‘HCV- Cargo Carrier of the Year’ award. An achievement this big, could not have been possible without the dedicated efforts of everyone at Mahindra’s Truck and Bus Division and the trust of all our customers. Mahindra’s Truck and Bus Division won at the Apollo CV awards for the third time in a row. This time it was the TORRO 31 Haulage Tipper which was voted 'Tipper of the Year’. And while it was the performance of our trucks that helped us score on the road, it is your support that helped us win off it.


Apollo CV Awards 2012

At the 2012 edition of the Apollo CV Awards, Mahindra’s Truck and Bus Division bagged not one but two prestigious awards. TRACO 40 – Prime Mover winning the coveted title of ‘HCV of the Year’ and Dr. Pawan Goenka, Director, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.- Truck and Bus Division and President – AFS, M&M, winning the esteemed ‘CV Man of the Year’ award.

The awards were collected by Nandu Khandare and Jim Pirie on behalf of the entire Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. - Truck and Bus Division team.


Apollo CV Awards 2011

Mahindra’s Truck and Bus Division was awarded the title of 'CV of the Year' at the Apollo CV - Commercial Vehicle Awards 2011. In addition, the company also won the 'HCV Truck of the Year (Rigid)’ for its TRUXO 25 truck.

These prestigious awards were received by Dr. Pawan Goenka along with Mr. Nalin Mehta and other members of the Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. - Truck and Bus Division team.
